Image is based on original carved stamps commissioned by Performing Statistics and adapted for poster composition.
Original stamps were inspired by youth poetry: their experience through the carceral system and their vision for a free future without prisons and oppressive institutions. Stamps will be used for a traveling exhibition and workshop series that teaches participants about abolition and concludes with a poster making workshop that envisions an abolitionist future.
